Quick Navigation
1. Introduction
Welcome to Learn CSS: Code & Web Design. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our application.
We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your information secure. The app is designed primarily as an educational CSS learning application and can store learning progress and preferences locally on your device.
2. Information We Collect
The current version of the app is designed not to require users to create an account or provide personal information such as their name, phone number, physical address, or password.
Depending on how the app is packaged or integrated into an Android application, the operating system or hosting environment may process certain technical information. We do not intentionally collect personal information through the educational features described in this policy.
Information Stored Locally
The app may store the following information locally on your device to provide its features:
- Lesson completion progress
- XP and level progress
- Learning streak information
- Bookmarked lessons
- Quiz progress and scores
- Achievement status
- App settings and preferences
- Dark mode preference
- Other locally stored app state required for functionality
This information is intended to remain on your device and is not intentionally transmitted to our servers by the core offline application.
3. Local Storage
Learn CSS: Code & Web Design may use browser or WebView local storage technologies to remember your preferences and learning progress.
Examples include:
- Your completed lessons
- Your XP and level
- Your learning streak
- Your bookmarked lessons
- Your achievements
- Your selected theme
- Your application settings
4. How Information Is Used
Locally stored information is used only to provide and improve the application's functionality.
For example, it allows the app to:
- Remember your learning progress
- Continue lessons from where you stopped
- Calculate your XP and level
- Maintain your learning streak
- Remember bookmarked lessons
- Remember your theme preference
- Display achievements
- Show your quiz and practice progress
We do not use your locally stored learning information for unrelated purposes.
6. Third-Party Services
The current core application is designed to operate without requiring external third-party services for its main educational functionality.
If third-party services are added in future releases, such as advertising networks, analytics providers, crash reporting services, authentication providers, or cloud storage providers, their data practices will be reviewed and disclosed as required.
7. Children's Privacy
Learn CSS: Code & Web Design is an educational application intended for people who want to learn CSS and web development.
We do not intentionally request personal information from children through the core learning functionality.
If the app's target audience or features are changed to include children, we will review and update the app's privacy practices to comply with applicable laws and Google Play Families requirements.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information handled by the application.
Because the core learning data is stored locally on the user's device, its security also depends on the security of the device, operating system, WebView environment, and any device-level protections enabled by the user.
Users should keep their Android device and operating system updated and use appropriate device security measures.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Locally stored application data remains on the user's device until it is removed by the user, the application is reset, the app's storage is cleared, or the application is uninstalled, subject to the behavior of the operating system and WebView environment.
Resetting App Progress
If the app provides a "Reset Progress" option, users can use that option to remove locally stored learning progress and application settings associated with the app.
Uninstalling the App
Uninstalling the app generally removes the app's local data, subject to Android's operating system behavior and any backup mechanisms that may be enabled on the device.
The current core version does not require an online user account. Therefore, there is no server-side account associated with the core offline learning functionality.
10. App Permissions
The core educational features of Learn CSS: Code & Web Design are designed to operate without requiring access to sensitive device permissions such as:
- Contacts
- SMS
- Phone calls
- Precise location
- Microphone
- Camera
If future versions require additional permissions, those permissions will be used only for the relevant functionality and appropriate disclosures will be provided where required.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the application, legal requirements, security practices, or additional services.
When changes are made, the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page will be updated.
We recommend reviewing this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how the application handles information.
